Children shoes...or should it be baby shoes?
Today I am a bit demotivated, because as soon as it feels as if things can't go any better...they don't. I am in the beginning phase of becoming a professional photographer and still do have so much to learn. But what is demotivating is that the photographic gear is so expensive and sometimes one just have to do with what you have got. Then I read Christine Meintjes' blog entry for yesterday (by the way she is one of my biggest idols and I just love her work!!) and speak loud and clear, actually fighting big time, to myself that I must not lose hope or have any doubt that my dreams won't become a reality. It depends on how I use what I have got and saving up slowly but surely till I can buy what I still need the most. Oh and learn as much as possible. Gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. So for me, I am walking in children's shoes, or more baby shoes for now, till I get to the point where I can spoil myself with a new lens or flash or camera! I am DrEaMiNg...big time!!

Skylar - a little busy body
Little Skylar promised Mommy that she will be a good girl and pose for the shoot, but the minute I got there she became a little busy body and we struggled to get her to sit still for even three seconds. She was up and down the jungle gym and I had to improvise to get at least a few shots :-)...

Nicholis
Just wanted to share this one of Nicholis with you! I love the emotion on his face. It is misleading actually as he was in such a happy mood while playing at the playgrounds but due to me asking him to "pose" for me again, he pulled this sad face to show everybody how hard it is on him...gmf, as if... He is one of those gorgeous kids and just loves the camera! I love the feel of this shot as it captures a 1 000 emotions into one shot...it can almost be used for one or other child abuse ad, but I don't think he would appreciate me saying that...sorry Nicky!!

Alejandra
Just a few shots of my best Varsity friend's little girl! She is a Bulls supporter and only when her dad said something about the team did she start relaxing towards me, else I just didn't exist to her :-). I still enjoyed spending the afternoon with them!

Cutie Pie Lindiwe
Little Lindiwe stays next to my mom's and she doesn't talk much although she loves being part of the crowd. This day she wanted to come over to play with the other kids visiting my mom and her mom wouldn't allow her. So she ended up staring at us through the fence...I just had to capture her sweet little adorable face...xxx

Sweet little Layla
Ah, dear sweet little Layla just didn't want to go to sleep during this session and for the few minutes she did close her eyes I got a sweet shot of her smiling probably because of cramp... Little Layla is the niece of one of my Varsity friends and I enjoyed spending time with them and catching up as they both got married since I left Varsity and moved to Johannesburg where I worked a few years ago. Enjoy these photos as Layla is a bit older now and has the most beautiful blue eyes, just like her daddy's!
